Tuesday – Submission Day Please come in and sit at a table of 3 or 4. Please put electronics away – there is no need of them today. There is an instruction sheet on the table. General Idea – swap portfolios to review and check for errors or omissions. Fix if possible. Today is not a work day. If you treat it as such, it will affect your reflection page. Share your portfolio with your group. Must read aloud one piece. Complete Reflection form Celebrate

Unit 4, Lesson 1 Parallelism – means making words, phrases, or clauses that are linked sound the same. Example: After school I drive my little sister home, do my homework, and cooking dinner. “cooking dinner” does not match the rest of the list. Revision: After school, I drive my little sister home, do my homework, and cook dinner. Review Lesson 1 – p. 55 and do exercise 1 at bottom of it.

Pronoun Reference Pronoun Reference – Lack of clarity for a pronoun: he, she, it, them, they, that, which. Requires rewriting and for YOU to make a decision on meaning. Many of you said “they” in your article report. Sometimes you meant the articles; sometimes you meant an animal, a person, or the subject you were writing about.
