5.  The Valdosta State Athletic Association hosted the Habitat for Humanity project in January  Athletes, Students, & various volunteers helped build this house (to the left)

8.  Held in honor of John “Bailey” Davis  3 month old son of Matt & Theresa Davis  Died of Congenital Heart Disease  Affects 40,000 babies per year  Donations went to Legacy of Life Endowment for research and screening

9. American Heart Association Car Wash  Our Car Wash held at Good Year on Baytree on March 12 th  It was not too sunny, but we raised some money

13. Walk for Wishes Chi Omega sponsored Walk for Wishes in Valdosta Saturday April 16  3 mile walk  Drexel Park  Each walker raised at least $50

15. Soldier in Iraq Car Wash

16.  We held our carwash at the Waffle House at the end of Oak Street  We raised money for John Thompson, who is an injured soldier in Iraq

19. Conclusion  Service learning is a great way to spend spare time  Little things we do means the world to many others  I enjoyed participating in service learning this semester  I will continue service throughout my community in time to come
