2 © British Nutrition Foundation 2006www.nutrition.org.uk/lifeskills Ingredients 400g minced beef 1 red onion 1 small egg blackpepper flour, for dusting

4 © British Nutrition Foundation 2006www.nutrition.org.uk/lifeskills Method 1.Chop onion finely. 2. Mix the minced beef with the onion, egg and black pepper.

5 © British Nutrition Foundation 2006www.nutrition.org.uk/lifeskills 3. Divide mixture into 8 balls. Dust hands in flour and flatten each ball into a burger shape.

8 © British Nutrition Foundation 2006www.nutrition.org.uk/lifeskills Top tips Add chilli, garlic or herbs to the burger. Add grated courgette, strips of red pepper or spring onion to the minced beef mixture. Serve the burger in a bun with lots of salad.
