Extended learning

Yr 7 Your extended learning task is to keep a food diary for a week. Keep a record of everything you eat and drink for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus any snacks. You can draw a table and fill it in, or you could write it in list form. You can start on any day of the week. When you have completed it look at your diary and write a comment about your eating habits. Eg. Should you eat more fruit and veg? should you try to cut down on fizzy drinks.

Yr 8 Your extended learning task is to write a ‘ healthy eating quiz’ You must write 10 questions and you must also write 10 answers. The questions can be based on what you know already about healthy eating, plus you could do some research on what the government recommendations for healthy eating are to help you come up with more questions. You will be asking your classmates some of these questions at a later date

Yr 9 Your extended learning task: Design a range of meal options for a school canteen that follow current healthy eating principles and have pupil appeal. Current secondary school lunch recommendations for food and nutrition standards should be reflected. You could produce this as a menu.
