At Checkpoint #3 you will be exploring some of the places along the Iditarod trail. There are 25 checkpoints from Anchorage to Nome. To learn about the checkpoints mentioned in Akiak you will be using an interactive map.
If you point to the NAME OF A CHECKPOINT, you will be given information about that place.
If you point to a place on the purple line (in between dots) you will be given information about the land IN BETWEEN checkpoints.
Once you click the compass to get to the right webpage, you will need to look at your worksheet and follow the directions.

When you click on the picture below you will be taken to a chart containing more information about the checkpoints on the Iditarod trail. Use the chart to answer the questions on your worksheet.
