the voice of healthcare finance… Health Expenditure NHS second largest Government spending programme. UK health spending is to rise to around 9.4% of GDP by 2007-08. However it still leaves the UK short of current spending levels in France (9.6%), Germany (10.7%) and way behind the USA (>15%).

Cash limited system provides incentive for good financial discipline 6. Clear focus on addressing inequality 7.Networking and organisational benefits for staff
