Foreword: For the last 50 years, New York has underinvested in its transportation network. We are now proposing a sweeping, regional transportation plan that will enable us to improve travel times and achieve the funding necessary to meet the city's and the region's needs through 2030 and beyond. That includes strategies to improve our transit network and reduce growing gridlock on our roads through better road management and congestion pricing.
