4.   The egyptian art is 5000 years old.  The egyptians did art to keep history alive.  The types of art they did was sculptures or paintings.  Black paint was made from charcoal.  White was from huntite, calcium carbonate or calcium sulphate.  Yellow from ochre.  Red from heated ochre.  Blue from azurite (copper carbonate)  Green from malachite. 5.   Much time was needed to grind a very hard mineral such as malachite to an extremely fine powder, like dust before it mixed with a gum taken from plants or animal hides, then diluted with water. Egyptian artists knew how to mix two pigments together to create another colour (Red+White=pink) but they also understood the idea of a wash of one colour over a wash of another to create subtle effects. 6.   These are some gods and godesses: Anubis, Khnum, Ra-Horakhty, Horus, Bes, Khepri, Nephthys and many more.  Anubis was the god of embalming and also god of the dead. 7.   Ra-Horakhty was a combination of the gods Horus and Ra. Horus was a god of the sky and Ra was the god of the sun. Ra-Horakhty was thought of the god of the rising sun.  Bes was the protector of pregnant women, newborn babies and the family.
