2 In January 1968, North Korea captured the USS Pueblo, an American spy ship that they said had strayed into their waters. The US said that the ship was not in North Korean waters. The crew was held hostage until December 1968. The Americans admitted that it was a spy ship and promised not to spy in that region any more. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Pueblo_(AGER-2)
