Intel ISEF 2011 – Educator Academy 2 High Level Goals Long term goals –Engage with stakeholders to implement science inquiry in secondary schools –Institutionalize management of science fairs and science programs for primary and secondary schools- Engage Ministry of Education to sponsor and manage National Science Fair –Increase the number of schools (private and public) and students participating in science fairs –Engage with Ministry of Education to establish Science clubs in cluster schools Short term goals –Raise awareness about importance of scientific research in schools and promote STEM through workshops, trainings and competitions –Engage with universities to assist and support science fairs by providing the resources for scientific committees –Improve scientific review and judging

Intel ISEF 2011 – Educator Academy 3 Objectives Increase student participation in affiliated fairs by 50% by 2015 Increase participation of volunteers/mentors by 20% by 2015 Get funding from donors to the benefit of ISEF through the ministry’s support Increase ISEF highlights in local media Adopt ISEF affiliated fair as the National Scientific Fair Work with influencers and concerned stakeholders to integrate the competition into the curriculum
