Civil Rights Act of 1968 Fair Housing Act – sought to eliminate racial discrimination in the real estate market. trying to end de facto segregation via residential housing patterns (some areas never seemed to have any blacks living there? I wonder why?)

Created continued debate over federal powers expanding (more of the New Deal?) “show down on the battlefields of Vietnam” – MLK, Jr. Great success with Civil Rights Acts Ultimate, irony is the Vietnam War ended up costing LBJ the “Great Society”!
