Jackie came from a poor family. Jackie had three brothers and one sister named Mack, Frank, Edgar and Willa Mae Jackie had three kids named David, Sharon, and Jackie Jr. and a wife named Rachel.

Before Jackie played baseball he played football at The University of California at Los Angeles.

Jackie was on a team of white people who did not treat him with respect Jackie Robinson wanted to be a pro athlete but World War II delayed him. Two baseballs were thrown at his head, but they missed.

Jackie Robinson was the first black person to go to the major leagues In the army he became an officer Jackie Robinson wrote two books. One book was named I Never Made It and the other is named Baseball Has Done It.

He played for the Dodgers. On his grave stone it said “A life is not important except in the impact it has on others lives.” Jackie threw with his right hand and hit with his right hand
