Outcome - Reducing unintentional injury in the home and on the roads –Build the capacity within the Partnership to provide practical injury prevention support and advice; –Improve information sharing across agencies to help identify individuals who are at greatest risk from injury at home or on the roads; –Use local and national data to identify injury prevention trends and target those most in need; –Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and communities to help reduce risk taking behaviour Working to Reduce Unintentional Injury in Fife

4. We use accident data gathered at Accident and Emergency departments across Fife – provide on 6 monthly basis Raise awareness among partners/communities of key issues – training/awareness raising sessions/social media/campaigns Policy links and Partnership working – Early Years Fife Cares - integral part of the Partnerships work to deliver on the outcome Working to Reduce Unintentional Injury in Fife

5. We provide a free child safety visit aimed primarily at families with at least one child aged under 5 across Fife. Home safety visit includes a walk through visual check and a full fire safety risk assessment and equipment as required. Equipment regularly reviewed in light of issues found during visits. We provide training to groups across Fife, e.g. Women's Aid/ Homestart etc. and to professionals with access to our vulnerable families Mobile technology working. 6. Combined Home Safety / Home Fire Safety visit. Identify potential hazards in the home that could potentially harm a child. In 2013-14,1098 incidents involving under 5’s required A & E treatment in Fife alone. Fire service training commenced in January and was completed in April.
