Ecomp 6102 Portfolio My name is Ginger Towle. I have been teaching for 18 years. Most of my teaching career has been in regular education, but with my recent move to a new school district I have become a special education teacher. This move has been a real challenge for me. I have learned a great deal working towards my master’s in technology and look forward to continue to learn new ways to improve my teaching for all my students. Goals For the Future Finish my master’s degree in June 2006 Continue my education towards my special education licensure Find a job more suitable for me and my talents Teach teachers how to integrate technology into their classrooms Teach at the college level Create assessments that are truly reflective of student learning Use technology to create units of study and to assess those units

Five Standards of Assessment Quality 1. Assessments serve articulated purposes. 2. Assessment arise from and reflect clear learning targets. 3. Accurate assessment uses appropriate methods given the context. 4. Assessments need to sample student achievement appropriately. 5. Effective assessments avoid unwanted sources of bias, interference, or error.
