TEXTSTYLE Similar to layer concept, dimstyle concept.... Similar to layer concept, dimstyle concept.... The STYLE command lets you create new text styles and modify existing ones. Each text style uses a particular font, to which you can apply a fixed height, an expansion/compression width factor, and an obliquing (slant) angle. You can also select backward (mirrored right to left) or upside-down (mirrored top to bottom) text generation. If you specify a fixed height as part of a text style, you are not asked to specify the height in each line text. But you will be asked to specify the height for each time you create text line if you set 0 for the height in the text style definition.

MTEXT You can create multiline text for long multiple entries. MTEXT command allows formatting individual words or characters within a multiline text object. These include application of underlining, fonts, color, and text height changes to individual characters, words, or phrases within a paragraph.

DDEDIT FOR MODIFICATION You can change the text according to your choice; you can retype the text, or make some corrections or necessary additions. DDEDIT command repeats the prompt until you press enter to finish the command. In the multiline text editor, as explained before, the format of the text can also be changed by using the commands in the character, properties, line spacing or find/replace tabs OR Properties dialog box

QTEXT Text entities can take a long time for AutoCAD to generate. The QTEXT command sets "quick text" mode for speeding up text display. OFF text items are fully drawn ON a rectangle is drawn approximately with the same boundary size as the text-areas A professional engineering drawing may contain considerable amounts of text, in which case it may be beneficial to turn on QTEXT. What is a “BLOCK” ? A grouping of entities, which enable you to repeat them easily and efficiently in one or more drawing files. BLOCK & WBLOCK BLOCK vs WBLOCK
9
WBLOCK creates a block on disk which can be inserted in the drawings you wish. The block will be saved as a normal drawing file. BLOCK turns the entities you select into a block. You select the objects to be converted into block, define a block name, an insertion base point, which is the reference point that you later use to put the block in a new location. Block defined is identified and can be accessed within that file only.
