OALA Mentoring Program Aspiring Administrators and Superintendents

To promote Latino educators into leadership positions To ensure educational equity for all students especially those of Latino heritage. To advocate at the federal, state, and local level for equitable educational policies impacting Latino students. To disseminate data related to the changing demographics and their implications for schools in Oregon. To develop strategic partnerships with organizations throughout the state that acknowledges and supports the accomplishments of Latino youth. To provide opportunities to build the capacity in the organization and of its members. OALA Goals

Protege Requirements ●Must be a Latino/a educator - Aspiring Administrator or Superintendent ●You need to be open to frank and honest conversations about your skills, abilities and attitudes ●You must be willing to put in the work for your professional growth and career development ●Agree to attend all meetings as prescribed in the program agreement ●Honestly evaluate your progress

District/Organization Supports Protege Fee: Above 10,000 students = $1,000 Below 10,000 students = $500 *Scholarships will be made available to ensure that selected Protege’s are able to participate if there are financial constraints. Other Supports: Ability to attend all needed cohort meetings. Access to district level meetings for observations

Call for Partners/Sponsors Gold (Partner) -Major Partner Recognition -Host a Cohort Meeting/Meals -Present to Participants -Identify strategies for OALA to provide additional collaboration to support shared initiatives -Publication acknowledgement as partner of OALA Mentor Program will include logo on materials and website for all events. -Partner with OALA on Curriculum Design, Program Implementation, and Evaluation, as appropriate. $5,000 Silver (Sponsor) -Sponsorship Recognition -Host a Cohort Meeting/Meals -Present to Participants -Identify strategies for OALA to provide additional collaboration to support shared initiatives -Publication acknowledgement as sponsor of OALA Mentor Program will include logo on materials and website for all events. $2,500 Bronze (Sponsor) -Sponsorship Recognition -Cover Cohort Meeting Meals or Special Event -Provide Materials for distribution -Publication acknowledgement as sponsor of OALA Mentor Program will include logo on materials and website for specific cohort meeting or special event. $1,500
