PCI PCI Challenge –Designate a Chapter PCI Chairperson Send the name and contact information to Regional PCI Chair –Mentor at least one Try-Math-A-Lon team Engage students who need help in mathematics

Solicitation letters Companies Incoming Freshman Emanuel Adhanom Region 1 Finance Chair for the 2006-2007 academic year. Before you send out the packets, you need to send them to Emanuel so that he can review and approve it. Also to make comments where needed. At RLC, I will be giving a presentation about how to do solicitation, and I have a Finance Chair manual that I will be giving out to chapters that will help you go through the steps. There are also a list of companies called the Board of Corporate Affiliates that you can't solicit money from, and I can go over that with you as well. 2006 Recruitment Initiative and Retention Suggestions /Comments Issue Flyers Info Session: (Pizza Party…when: first meeting, date: tentative) Multi cultural Night info session, Jessica will get more information.

New Directives and Programs Achiever’s Plus Promotes academic achievement Helps students improve their overall GPA Provides a “group study environment” for chapters Financial support: Hiring of tutors for NSBE chapters Online resources for program participants Book scholarships Planners for time management Monitoring of progress by paid counselors Study parties

New Directives and Programs The CDP (will be sent to Regional Chair then to Chapter President) Due Date Sep 30 th, Dec 31 st, Feb 20 th Document which ensures chapters are able to: Achieve goals of the National Long Range Plan (LRP) Document and report chapter’s yearly activities Assess the organization’s accomplishments toward the mission statement Maximize development through active participation in national programs and activities Showcase chapter’s programmatic activities Set a standard of chapter excellence within each region Assist chapters in membership development The CDP is mandatory this year. Failure to do so means that a chapter will not be re-chartered. Point person: Manelle Samuels

Apply to the National Programs Fund Money to assist chapter with providing quality NSBE programs to the membership All chartered chapters can apply! Applications accepted year round. Decisions made by NPF Committee Award may be partial or full. 30 day process from submission to receipt of award
