Mrs. Andrade’s 2 nd Grade Class Welcome Parents!
2
Welcome to 2 nd Grade! The purpose of tonight is to provide information about our curriculum and our daily procedures. We have been busy assessing the students and helping them learn procedures and transition into 2 nd grade. Since we are only in the 2 nd week of school it is really difficult to discuss your child’s progress with you tonight. We will have our first parent/teacher conferences this October. Of course, if there are any concerns before then I will contact you. I also welcome you contacting me with concerns too.

My philosophy is that each child that enters my room is unique and learns in their own way. My job is to foster and support a learning environment where each child can learn and reach their fullest potential. I continually encourage all my students to do their best and to strive to reach their goals. I always encourage having high expectations for learning and becoming a life time learner. Everyone deserves to learn, be challenged, and enriched to reach their highest goals.
4
Goals To give each child the academic tools he/she needs to progress to 3 rd grade. To provide a supportive learning environment. To have fun while we learn. To make new friends and discover new interests.
