F RICTION ! By: Lindsey Thurman
2
F RICTION The resistance that one surface or object encounters when moving over another. The action of one surface or object rubbing against another. So basically when you rub two objects together it slows the objects rubbing against each other and may create heat
3
F LUID FRICTION The friction caused by an object moving through something that engulfs it in a fluid. Air resistance is fluid friction.
4
S LIDING FRICTION Sliding friction is when two objects slide across from one another. An example is sliding a book across a desk. It is also known as Kinetic friction.
5
R OLLING FRICTION Rolling friction is when an object that is rolling, sliding or moving on a surface is slowed down or stopped, because of the friction of the two objects rubbing against each other.
6
S TATIC FRICTION

F EELINGS AGAINST FRICTION Did you know too much friction can cause a fire? turn all transferable energy into unusable heat. It can build up static electricity on you and cause a shock when you touch metal. Those are just the bad things friction can do. To me and you friction is good! It helps us walk and move around because without it, we would have a really hard time moving around and me like wiggle worms moving.

M ORE FRICTION ! Lubricated friction Skin friction Internal friction There are more friction but the ones on the slide show are the top 4. But all of the frictions in the world have the same concept.
