2  The last observation  The final conference  Completing end of semester paperwork  What happens next with my licensure?

3  Assuming all is well … 1. The Certification of Teaching Capacity (CTC) will be signed by you, the CT, the US, and the principal. 2. You should also initial the bottom of the first two pages of the CTC. 3. Make a copy to keep. US keeps the original CTC. Your CT/Principal may also request a copy.

4  Make sure you have uploaded everything in TaskStream:  Required coursework submissions  EE 6 A/B: (if applicable – all pieces not required by all programs)  Completed edTPA as per instructions that will be provided following the Pearson submission deadline.

5  Scheduled by your university supervisor  Usually occurs during the week of commencement (Mon, Tues, or Wed)  You will receive emails asking you to complete surveys on your CT, US, and program. Do not delete the emails! The link to the survey is in the emails. Although the emails look exactly the same, each one is linked to a different survey.  Surveys must be completed BEFORE you meet with your supervisor for the final conference.

6  Paperwork to complete for the final conference: 1. Licensure Status Checklist – in the STAR or available on the OFE website under “Resources and Forms/ NC Application for Licensure (Form A) - TEALR Web site”TEALR Web site 2. Application for a North Carolina License (Form A) – available in the STAR and on the OFE website under “Resources and Forms/ NC Application for Licensure (Form A) - TEALR Web site”TEALR Web site **Answer all questions truthfully and include documentation if necessary.

7 3. $55 check to North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI). Cash is NOT accepted. Money orders are accepted.  You may also pay with a credit card and complete the required form found in the STAR and on the OFE website under NC Application for Licensure (Form A) - TEALR Web siteTEALR Web site 4. The original CTC signed form (from your supervisor). 5. Passing Licensure scores  REQUIRED

8  You will receive your Licensure Status Checklist that documents what you have turned in.  Use checklist for documentation until you get your email from TEALR.  Takes 3-4 weeks for TEALR to process applications; once your information is verified (TaskStream, dept.), TEALR sends your recommendation to DPI. You will receive an email from TEALR when this has occurred.

9  Use your licensure status checklist or the email from TEALR until you receive your license (could be up to three months – five months!)  If you have questions, you should contact the TEALR office directly at 704-687-8725.
