Determine the Need O Student needs assessment O Staff needs assessment or referrals O Achievement, attendance, and discipline data

Using the CCPCS Needs Assessment The highest responses were in expressing anger and communication skills. From there, look through the responses to identify students.

Using Other Data O Use attendance, achievement, and discipline data to spot trends O May take some digging if all the information isn’t available (ie: suspensions and referrals) Students who have a D or below in more than one class can benefit from groups on study skills, goal setting, or future planning. 8 total students 4 with multiple Ds or Fs (names blocked for confidentiality)

Evaluate Impact: How Are Students Different? O Perception Data: Do students, teachers, parents believe students have made progress? O Surveys and post-tests O Outcome Data: Have grades improves? Referrals decreased? Attendance improved?

Analyzing the Results Report O Were the right goals identified for the students? Did the choice of activities help support the goals? O What can be learned from analyzing the data (process, perception, and outcome)? O Reviewing the results report, what are the implications or recommendations? ASCA National Model (2013)
