Mercury:) By, Paige Fletcher

Location. Mercury is the planet closest to the sun.

Location. Mercury is about 36 million miles away from the Sun. It is one of the smallest planets. It's Diameter:4,878 kilometers. That is a little over the size of the Earth.

Location. It has no moons. Scientists think this is the cause of being so close to the sun. The average day is about 58 days. It takes 15hrs to make one rotation. & a year is about 88 days.

Pictures of Mercury. :)

Topography. Mercury is one of the hottest planets and it is also one of the coldest, It is also so close to the sun that no one could ever live there. If you were to be able to stand on Mercury, the sun would rise, then it would speed up and begin to get larger. Then it would stop, reverse its direction, stop again and then continue on its way. Although in the backround, starts were zipping along at 3 times the speed of the sun. :)

QUIZ QUESTIONS. 1.How long is one day in Mercury? 2.True or False. Mercury has 3 moons. 3.True or False. Mercury is the furthest away from the sun.
