How do we define the personality traits of a hero? Someone who will never give up, even when times are hard. A hero is someone who keeps his head up high, stands up for what he believes in, who is not selfish, and who helps others without being asked. Someone you can look up too. Someone who has a great impact on your life. Someone who has a great mind and is REAL. A hero has to make a difference in the world, not make anyone seem smaller then you, but actually put them before you. “True heroism consists in being superior to the ills of life, in whatever shape they may challenge us to combat.” ( "Heroes Quotes - Quotations and Famous Quotes on Heroes." )

How do the setting, conflicts, and antagonists influence the development of literary heroes? The setting, conflicts, and antagonists influence the development of literary heroes because all these things determine what kind of hero that person will be and what obstacles they have to overcome to become a hero.

How does a hero reflect his/her particular culture and society? He helped other artists to become well known, and helped them produce music. He showed his compassionate side by singing some inspirational anthems. He contributed to a charity to help raise money to keep children away from violence. After his death, he left a foundation with his name, to help students who aspire to enhance their creative talents. Today, there is a foundation called TASF, which stands for Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation, and seeks to help students. (kara keeling)

How does a hero represent his/her time period and geographical area? Rapped about the social ills, facing African Americans. He also rapped about social injustice, poverty, and police brutality. He talked about what actually happened to him when growing up, speaking for the millions of kids who don’t have anything to eat when they get home. How do various cultures reward or recognize their heroes? A hip-hop legend with explicit and violent lyrics &Tupac Shakur embroiled a feud between East Coast and West Coast rappers. Tupac was eventually cast in several feature films and recorded several chart topping albums. (Actor) He released the first ever double hip-hop CD. He is the second highest selling Hip-Hop artist of all time. What is the role of a hero in a culture? The role of a hero in a culture is someone who contribute significantly to their community or our world in general, or inspire us to achieve more in life.

What actions make him/her a hero in your eyes? He is a hero in my eyes because he found a way to help people through his organization and through his music. He was very inspirational to people world wide.

What specific contributions has this person made that gives him or her hero status? Most of his songs send out a social message. He was greatly concerned with the social problems faced by Afro-American community such as violence and hardship in inner cities, racism, conflicts with other rappers, social injustice, poverty and police brutality. TASF, which stands for Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation. Our mission is to provide training and support for students who aspire to enhance their creative talents. Each and every child desires freedom to creatively express themselves. We provide an environment that encourages freedom of expression services as a resource for families and empowers via education. Did this person have to overcome any particular obstacles in life? If so, what and how? Tupac faced a lot of challenges rather it be the police because of him being violent or with other rappers who cant stand him. He was also born and raised in the ghetto and also raised in poverty. ( Gumbel)

How did the heroes childhood affect the heroes outcome in life? Tupac had an poor childhood. Tupac had a dream to become a Shakespeare actor. As a young man he started doing school plays and doing drama club at Baltimore school of arts. When there he became known as MC New York. ( “Childhood.”)
