Protect native animals and plants in natural communities. In ways such as: -Wildlife and habitat Conservation -Safeguarding biodiversity -Works with local, state, national, and international policy

Major Problems: -Climate Change – warming of the planet -Habitat loss- Urban Sprawl -Habitat Degradation- pollution of habitats How they help: -Help with conservation policies in National Wildlife Refuges, National forests, and public lands -Work with state agencies and private landowners to create conservation plans for these areas in the future

Move into areas of wildlife, not used to the animals in the area Concerned with danger due to predator animals, results in death of those animals Predator animals eating live stock, resulting in death of predators. Removing major species will affect ecosystem in a negative way. Defenders want to educate the communities to coexist with wildlife.

Supporting this program will help save species and habitat critical for biodiversity. Also by helping it will preserver the environment and species for future generations.

-Keeping gray wolves on endangered species act -Removal will leave management of this species will be up to individual states - That could open a hunt and kill hundreds of wolves Defenders are looking for 100,000 signatures to urge the President to keep wolves under protection.

I believe this would be a good organization to support. They help many species at risk and are trying to keep the environment alive for future generations.
