Student Acceptable Computer Use Policy Let’s read the policy together. Your parents or guardians were required to sign this consent form before you were allowed to use a school computer. So…your parents are aware of this policy and support it.

Ownership of Computers & Technology at School Who do you think owns the computers and other technology we use here at school? –Our School District So, how should we treat the computers and technology we use at school?

Responsibility of Computers & Technology at School We must respect the property of others (that which does not belong to us.) This includes: –Computers, –Smart Boards, –Technology, –Software, and –Computer files.

The Do’s and Don’ts of using the School Computers Computers are only used with permission and are supervised by school staff. Computer use is a PRIVILEGE and can be suspended at anytime. Computers are used for school purposes only and are not to be used for anything else. Disrupting or accessing the files of any other computer user is not allowed.

The Do’s and Don’ts of using the School Computers If any inappropriate language, pictures or ads appear or uncomfortable situations arise, inform the classroom teacher or other school staff immediately. Do not give out any personal information over the internet. If an internet site requests personal information in order to gain access, inform the classroom teacher or other school staff immediately.
