Nondisjunction Chromosomes may fail to separate during meiosis Resulting gametes may have too few or too many chromosomes Disorders: Down Syndrome – three 21 st chromosomes Turner Syndrome – single X chromosome Klinefelter’s Syndrome – XXY chromosomes 4
