4.  Physical Properties: are able to observed or measured without changing the identity of the substance.  Examples: ◦ Color ◦ Odor (smell) ◦ Density (mass/volume) ◦ Malleability (ability to bend) ◦ Elasticity (ability to return to its original shape) ◦ Conductivity (ability to flow energy, heat, or electricity) ◦ Insulator (resisting flow of energy, heat, or electricity)
