Types of Software. Data-”Used to run programs, store program or system configuration information, and stores information that the computer user needs“ ( http://www.comptechdoc.org/basic/basictut/hardwintro.html ) System- “ It manages the hardware and software resources of the system. In a desktop computer, these include such things as the processor, memory, disk space and more. It provides a stable, consistent way for applications to deal with the hardware without having to know all the details of the hardware.”(http://computer.howstuffworks.com/operating-system2.htm) Applications-”program or group of programs designed for end users.” ( http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/A/application.html )

Computer Hardware Motherboard-The motherboard is the major, underlying circuit board of a computer. It holds everything into the computer. CD/DVD drive- Holds in CDs and DVDs so you can watch or listen to them. Random Access Memory (RAM)- Ram is where the operating system, application programs, and data are stored so they can be reached faster by the processor. Floppy Disk (A:)- Hard Disk-they store changing digital information in a relatively permanent form. They give computers the ability to remember things when the power goes out.

Hardware Continued Monitor- Displays the picture on the screen Speakers- Projects the sound Mouse- A mouse is a small device used to point to and select items on your computer screen. Keyboard- A keyboard is used mainly for typing text into your computer. Like the keyboard on a typewriter, it has keys for letters and numbers, but it also has special keys: System Unit-The system unit is the core of a computer system

What is a Virus, Worm, and Trojan Horse. Virus- A segment of self- replicating code planted illegally in a computer program, often to damage or shut do wn a system or network. (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/virus) Worm-a computer program that has the ability to copy itself from machine to machine. (http://computer.howstuffworks.com/virus5.htm)

What is a Virus, Worm, and Trojan Horse..Continued Trojan Horse- Now, there are Trojan Horses and there are viruses, but there's no such thing as a Trojan Horse virus. In fact, the very definition of each precludes any chance of there being such a thing. A Trojan does not replicate. Viruses do. That fact alone means there can never be a "Trojan Horse virus". 14 The future In the future, I think we will use computers for every single thing in life. They will drive our cars, cook, for us, and mostly just run our lifestyles if we keep advancing at the computer pace we are at right now. You never know, in 2036 we could have an iHouse by apple. It could be a house just made by computers!
