3 Phonics: 2 sounds for “c”
When the letter “c” is in front of an a, o, or u, it makes the “k” sound. Examples: cat cot cut

When the letter “c” is in front of an e, i, or y, it makes the “s” sound. Examples: cent city fancy

The verb “to be” They have been to the park. I am sitting on a chair. We are being quiet. She is reading a book. He will be in the show.

The verb “to do” I do not like beans. He does want to see you. I really did like that book. We do want to buy that car.

1. Write a sentence that tells what the paragraph is about. Example: Here is how to make a cup of tea.

Here is how to make a cup of tea.  You will need a cup, a pot, a stove, a spoon and a tea bag.  First, heat some water in a pot until is it very hot. Next, carefully pour some of the water into a tea cup and put one tea bag in the water. Then, wait 5 minutes and take the tea bag out with a spoon. Last, drink your cup of tea.

An antonym is a word that means the opposite of another word. Example: sad is the opposite of happy – they are antonyms

36 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus gave them orders not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

38 They kept the matter to themselves, discussing what “rising from the dead” meant.
