2 The Thunderbird ("T-Bird"), is an automobile manufactured by the Ford Motor Company in the US in 1955. When introduced, it created the market niche eventually known as the personal luxury car. 3 The Chrysler 300C was a car made during the Chrysler 300 “letter series.” The C-300 was really a racecar aimed at the NASCAR circuits that was sold for the road. By 1956 the C-300 was the only car ever to reach over 355 hp. 4 The Dodge Wayfarer was known as the lowest priced car on the market. 6 The "Custom Royal" sedan gained the Lancer badge soon after its introduction. Backup lights were standard on the Custom line but optional on all others. 7 The Buick Road Master was built by the Buick division of General Motors. Buick Road Master’s structure was based off a limousine. Up till 1957 the Road Master was Buick’s top of the line model. 8 The Buick Straight-8 engine (Fireball-8) was produced from in 1953 and sold in Buick Automobiles. The unique car was named for the straight-8 engine that was a more powerful alternative then previous engines. 9 The Hudson Hornet is an automobile that was produced by the Hudson Motor Car Company of Detroit, Michigan. The Hornet featured a functional “step down” design with low floors. 10 The Ford Custom is a car model name that has been used by the Ford Motor Company both in the US and Canada. For the 1950 model year, the Custom nameplate was used for the top trim level in Ford's range of automobiles.
