A dichotomy is… A division or contrast between two things that are represented as entirely different

Nature v. Culture Is nature pure or wild? Is it culture’s job to tame nature, or is it destroying nature? In what ways do nature and culture interact? Are these peaceful interactions?

Society v. Individual From where does political power derive? Who does it serve? Who should be protected? At what cost? How does the individual view society? How does society view the individual?

Public v. Private What are public spaces and what are private spaces? What are the rights of these spaces? What is public property? What is private property? Slaves?
