5 Starting to admit students in 2012, Kocaeli University Faculty of Technology has the following departments: Department of Automotive Engineering Department of Energy Systems Engineering Department of Biomedical Engineering Each department admit 35 students every year. In contrary to conventional engineering education in Turkey, Technology Faculties offer hands-on engineering education, which gives importance to theory and practice equally.
