1 Wolf Pride Band Mission – A co-curricular performing group that ALL band students at Grandview can aspire to create outstanding music, develop student leadership, and represent the school and community with great pride and enthusiasm.

2 Goals Establish a tradition of excellence in music making and Pride in membership of the group Successful, superior level musical performances Increase participation of upperclassmen Provide a vehicle for students to develop as leaders Increase student ownership of the band program as a whole

3 ACTIVITIES FOR 2015 Drum Line Auditions – June 2 Student Leadership Auditions – completed Mini Camp June 2-3 Band Camp – August 3-7 Band Camp – August 10-14 Parent Demo – TBA Littleton Western Welcome Week Parade – Saturday, August 15 National Anthem at Rockies Game Wednesday, August 19 Colorado State Fair Parade Trip - Aug. 21-22 Football Game Thursday, September 10 Arvada Harvest Days Parade – Saturday, September 12 Spirit Bus – Monday, September 14 Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally – Thursday, September 17 Homecoming Football Game – Friday, September 18 Football Game Thursday, October 1 Football Game Friday, October 9 Band Concert – Tuesday, October 13 Football Game – Friday, October 16 Playoff games in November

4 Schedule ATTENDANCE IS CRITICAL TO SUCCESS!!! Band Camp August 3-6 8AM-4PM Rehearse 3-5PM August 7 and 10-14 Full Band Rehearsals Tuesdays 3-5:00PM Parades on 3 Saturdays 4 Home football games at Legacy Stadium

5 COMMITTMENT Wolf Pride Band Students will: Make a strong commitment to the success and superior performance standard of the Wolf Pride Band Participate in the August day camp at GHS August 3-7 and 10-14 Attend all rehearsals and performances Maintain their grades in accordance with eligibility rules

6 Percussion Students will audition for Drum Line Students will be placed on a drum for the entire season Students will work with a percussion instructor throughout the fall season Students will have extra practice in the summer to set up success

7 Uniforms

8 Staff Mr. Keith Farmer – director Mr. Royce Ehrle – assistant director Mr. Mike Nevin – percussion Wind player instructors for camp

9 Costs Band Participation Fee - $120 –Includes band camp –Uniform cleaning and maintenance –Transportation costs to parades –Music and folders –Marching school instruments and maintenance Shoes - $30 – if needed, they are the same this year State Fair Overnight Trip $145 –Includes transportation, dinner Friday, lodging, breakfast

10 Lettering Requirements Students will continue to earn points toward their letter in band with participation in Wolf Pride Band Unexcused absences will result in a reduction of lettering points

11 Needs Parent Volunteers – need a coordinator –Help with parades –water crew –uniform parent coordinator –uniform parents –moving equipment for parades and games

12 Fundraising Patrons run all fundraising opportunities Students may use their performing arts account for Wolf Pride costs King Soopers Cards Shop with Scrip All information is on www.grandviewperformin garts.org www.grandviewperformin garts.org
