STANDARD 1 REFLECTION One page/ 3 paragraphs/ 10 points 1. Propose an important topic that would be appropriate for teaching a lesson or unit in elementary or middle school. Identify the level where it could be taught. 2. Analyze why this topic is important in the elementary/middle content area. 3. Explain how you would impart your knowledge to elementary or middle school students. ONE PAGE, ONE SIDE, 8 ½ x 11. SINGLE SPACED. FONT SIZE/TYPE: ARIAL - NO SMALLER THAN 10, NO LARGER THAN 12.

STANDARD 2 REFLECTION One page/ 3 paragraphs/ 10 points 1.Briefly summarize two different and unique experiences with children and youth. 2. Discuss how the first experience allowed you to understand how children with differing ranges of ability learn. Explain how you provided instruction that supports their intellectual, social, and personal development. 3. In a separate paragraph discuss your second experience as in #2 above. One page/ 3 paragraphs/ 10 points STANDARD 4 REFLECTION STAPLE the reflection on the top of your ES 203 lesson plan. Remove all names and lesson reflection from the lesson plan. * The use of technology is recommended but not required at this stage. 1.Provide a summary of your lesson. 2.Discuss how this teaching experience allowed you to use of a variety of instructional strategies, including the use of technology* and other materials. 3.Explain how you encouraged students’ development of critical thinking, problem solving, and performance skills. Organizing Application Materials A LETTER SIZE, TOP TAB, MANILA FILE FOLDER – NOT MANILA ENVELOPE - with your name legibly printed on it (Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial) should include: Points will be deducted if these instructions are not followed. One Application Cover Form One Program Plan One Current Degree Audit Two sets of the four reflective narratives including two copies of your lesson plan where required. Each complete set should be PAPER CLIPPED TOGETHER
