2.  Fossil fuels—are concentrated organic compounds found in the Earth’s crust. They are created from the remains of plants and animals that lived millions of years ago in the form of concentrated biomass.

3.  The products that contain fossil fuels that I learned about are: bubble gum, crayons, perfumes, pharmaceuticals, detergents, cosmetics, nylon, artificial silk, contact lenses, candles, polyester, hand lotions.

5.  American consumers and businesses already spend roughly $700 billion to $1 trillion each year on coal, oil and natural gas. If America continues the energy path use they are on now, the U.S. fossil fuel spending will to grow an estimated $23 trillion between 2010 and 2030.

6.  The fossil fuel reserve depletion times for oil, coal and gas of approximately 35, 107 and 37 years, respectively. This means that coal reserves are available up to 2112, and will be the only fossil fuel remaining after 2042.

7.  By reducing the amount of plastic bags and plastic bottles that we use will help cut down on the consumption of fossil fuels.  Another way that we can cut back would be to monitor the amount of electricity we use daily, and how often we use the natural gas supply to our homes.

8.  There are alternatives listed above that can be used. But something’s we can reduce the amount we use, so in the future we will have to find a new way of developing those products that we need and use everyday.
