Assumptions Your team has chosen to focus on professional learning related to intentional planning and high quality instruction that supports achievement of proficiency with the ELA/literacy standards. Your team has completed its homework in advance of attending the institute Your team will reflect on and plan for how to disseminate the learning from the institute with educators in your school/district

Anticipated Outcomes Increase understanding of the level of complexity and rigor inherent in the standards and assessment system that lead to college and career readiness; Examine instructional strategies that directly support students in achieving proficiency; Learn how to “bundle” or group multiple standards to develop text sets and units of study through which students can build proficiency; and Begin to construct a unit of study for the upcoming school year.
