Dimensional Analysis Part 2 Chapter 2 Section 2 Units of Measurement

Chapter 2 Section 2 Units of Measurement Cube and Squares Area and volume are units that are based on 2 and 3 dimensions. When you want to convert these units you treat them the same as regular conversions, but you will cube or square all the pieces. So, 1 ft = 12 in becomes: 1 3 ft 3 = 12 3 in 3 It ends up being 1 ft 3 = 12 in x 12in x 12in or 1728 in 3

Chapter 2 Section 2 Units of Measurement Practice Problem: You need to purchase a swimming pool cover that will fit on your 10 ft x 12 ft pool. The prices are listed for areas in m 2. Convert your pool dimensions into area then change the units. You might need: 1 ft = 12 in 1 in = 2.54 cm ?# cm = 1 m?

Chapter 2 Section 2 Units of Measurement Squares vs Cubes….. You do the whole process the same! Just insert a cube ( 3 ) or square ( 2 ) into the conversion factor or ALL number AND ALL units You try this one….. Water flows through the
