Psoas O- by fleshy slips from transverse proccesses, bodies and discs of lumbar vertebra and T12 I- lesser trochanter of femur A- Prime mover of hip flexion, flexes thigh on trunk when pelvis is fixed, lateral rotates thigh, flexes knee

Sartorius O- anterior superior iliac spine I- Winds around medial aspect of knee and inserts into the medial aspect of the proximal tibia A- fexes and laterally rotates thigh, flexes knee

Rectus Femoris O- Anterior inferior iliac spine and superior spine of the acetabulum I- Patella and tibial tuberoisity A- extends knee and flexes thigh and the hip

Vastus Lateralis O- greater trochanter, intertrochanteric line, linia aspera I- patealla and tibial tuberosity A- extends knee

Vastus Medialis O- linia aspera, intertrochanteric line I- patella and tibial tuberosity A- extends knee, inferior fibers stabilize patella

Vastus Intermedius O- anterior and lateral surface of proximal femur I- patella and tibial tuberosity A- extends knee

Tensor Fascia Latae O- Anterior aspect of iliac crest and anterior superior iliac spine I- iliotibial tract A- flexes and abducts thigh, rotates thigh medially

Gluteus Maxiumus O- dorsal ilium, sacrum and coccyx I- Gluetal tuberosity of femur, iliotibial tract A- major extensor of thigh

Biceps Femoris O- ishial tuberosity, linea aspera and distal femur I- Passes downward and inserts into the head of the fibula and lateral condyle of tibia A- extends thigh and flexes knee, laterally rotates leg

Semitendinosis O- ishial tuberosity I- medial aspect of upper tibial shaft A- extends thigh and flexes knee, medially rotates leg

Semimembranosis O- ishial tuberosity I- medial condyle of tibia A- extends thigh and flexes knee, medially rotates leg
