1 At Home Magnet Project GPS: S3P2a Students will investigate to find common objects that are attracted to magnets. Students will create a poster showing items that are and are not attracted to magnets. They make take pictures using a camera, download pictures from the internet, find pictures in magazines, or draw the pictures. The poster should show at least 6 items that are attracted to magnets and at least 6 items that are not attracted to magnets. On the back of the poster, the students will write a paragraph with at least 5 sentences explaining why the items are or are attracted to a magnet. Points will be awarded for the accuracy of the pictures, correct information in the paragraph, and overall appearance. The rubric that I will use to grade the project can be found on the back of this paper. The project is due on Tuesday, September 10. This project was assigned on Thursday, August 29 and is due on Tuesday, September 10.
