1. At Home Magnet Project GPS: S3P2a Students will investigate to find common objects that are attracted to magnets. Students will create a poster showing items that are and are not attracted to magnets. They make take pictures using a camera, download pictures from the internet, find pictures in magazines, or draw the pictures. The poster should show at least 6 items that are attracted to magnets and at least 6 items that are not attracted to magnets. On the back of the poster, the students will write a paragraph with at least 5 sentences explaining why the items are or are attracted to a magnet. Points will be awarded for the accuracy of the pictures, correct information in the paragraph, and overall appearance. The rubric that I will use to grade the project can be found on the back of this paper. The project is due on Tuesday, September 10.
