Genesis 15: 3-6 And Abram said, “Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir.” And behold, the word of the L ORD came to him: “This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir.” And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” And he believed the L ORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness.

3. 2 Tim 2:13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.

Luke 15:2 - And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.” Matt 9:10-13 - And as Jesus reclined at table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and were reclining with Jesus and his disciples. And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
