Cellular devices have pretty much developed as an necessity for the adult human being. We use cell phones more now than ever for everyday use. They have transformed from basic portable handheld walkie talkies to innovative technology that allow us to not only communicate in several ways but live more conveniently because of new programs that makes it easier to handle business from home.

Made in 1973, Motorola showed off a model of the world's first portable cellular telephone. Measured more than a foot long, weighed almost 2 pounds cost $3995 could provide 1 hour of talk time, and its memory could store 30 phone numbers.

Historically, educators argued that the use of cell phones in education did not provide benefits to the learning process. However, there has been a recent shift in this perspective. In a recent study, 2,000 tutors stated that 14% of cell phones were a great resource for students. 42% of respondents claimed that “text messages and phone calls interrupt tutoring sessions on a regular basis.”

All in all, there are lessons to be learned with the evolution trend of cell phones in schools. Today parents and schools have universally embraced the web as a medium for research, educations and efficient communication.
