12 Wiki A type of website that allows anyone or only designated members to edit its content. In the classroom, wikis can be used as a collaborative writing tool, used in providing scaffolding materials, broadening students’ thinking and engaging them to put more time into a project. wikispaces.com and wik.is are just some of the wiki sites available.

13 Blog The abbreviated word for weblog, it is web-based journal where individuals can publish their thoughts and opinions on the Internet. Blogspot.com and mulyiply.com are some of the blogs where thoughts and opinions shared are used to solicit feedback and discussion from readers.

14 Blog Blogs can be used: by students as diaries or journals; by teachers where they gather, organize and share current information; as a medium where discussion can be conducted over an issue (through a blog post).

15 Online Collaborative Websites These allow individuals to create or upload documents on the web where they can then be edited using familiar formatting tools. An example of this is the Google Docs. Google Docs is a web-based word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation application by Google.

16 Online Collaborative Websites It allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating in real-time with other users. The application automatically saves open documents and notifies users of the changes made on the document.

17 Media Sharing A social network with platform and diversified interfaces that allows users to upload, compress, distribute images, texts, audio, video and other applications. These are easy to create, share media, and discuss with everyone in the network. It is automatically notifies people when you put a new media. Multiply.com is a site that allows media sharing.

18 Social Bookmarking Social bookmarking is saving bookmarks to a public website and tagging them with keywords. Its uses are the following: organizing and categorizing resources; developing a unique structure of keywords to define sources; simplifying the distribution of reference lists, papers, and other resources among peers or students. Social bookmarking is made possible through sites like delicious.com and diigo.com.

21 It is an online inquiry-based activity developed by Tom March with the aim of developing knowledge of a specific topic in the curriculum. An online treasure hunt has the following components: a.Brief introduction b.Question about the topic c.Web resources where one can find the answers to the questions listed. d.A concluding activity wherein students will answer the Big Question

22 Online Treasure Hunt A well-developed online treasure hunt has the following benefits: a.Develops mastery of the topic b.Develops reading skills c.Fosters active learning d.Develops skill in analysis and synthesis through the Big Question. e.Develops creativity since students synthesize information using various formats.

23 WebQuest It is an online inquiry-based activity developed by Bernie Dodge and Tom March in 1995 at the San Diego State University. In this activity, students create knowledge products (such as reports, brochures, posters) out of information found on the Web and in other sources.

24 Elements of WebQuest Introduction – an engaging first statement that draws the reader in while setting the stage for the WebQuest. Task – a doable and interesting mission that revolves around an open-ended question. Process – describes step-by-step how the learners will accomplish the task; part where roles that students are expected to perform are described.
