Principals’ Leadership and Student Achievement Effective school is related to effective leadership (Teddlie & Reynolds, 2000) “School leadership is second only to classroom instruction as an influence on student learning” (Leithwood et al., 2006, p. 3). The mediated effect of principals’ leadership on student achievement (Leithwood & Day, 2007).
