To improve fair and consistent scoring across the district, only teachers in formal teacher leadership roles should be scored on P.7 this year Teacher Leadership Academy and Differentiated Roles Pilot The indicator was revised to reflect teacher leader roles and responsibilities, and may not capture the other types of leadership work that teachers do in their building Scoring P.7

The Student Outcomes measures for 2013-14 will include: Growth portions from the School Performance Framework (for all teachers). The last three years of TCAP data (as available), in the following grades/content areas: 4 th – 10 th grade reading, writing, and math 10 th grade ACT Student Growth Objectives (SGOs), while not part of LEAP, will continue to be used as part of teacher End- of-Year Conversations. Student Outcomes * Note: Since student outcomes data will not be available until the fall, overall teacher LEAP ratings will not be finalized until the fall of 2014. We are working with CDE to determine how this can be improved in the future.

Student Learning Objectives (SLOs) will be used as part of the new Standards rollout. SLOs will not be included in 2013-14 Student Outcomes ratings but will be included beginning in 2014-15 For this year: Informational training for all schools Up to 20 schools opt in to pilot SLOs 3 schools in an intensive pilot (working with the CU Boulder and the Center for Assessment) Student Outcomes
21
Student Learning Objectives (SLOs) will be different from SGOs in the following ways: SLOs must be aligned with new curriculum standards. SLOs will be based on common district assessments, where available, and teacher- and team-created assessments. SLOs change the degree of difficulty and increase rigor for students. They also provide a broader scale for accomplishment (not just “met” or “not met”). SLOs will be used with all grades and content areas. SLOs vs. SGOs
