3
The Titanic set sail April 11, 1912. It was 883 feet long.
4
It cost a lot to build. It had four funnels, or smokestacks, but one was fake.
5
The most expensive ticket for Titanic cost $99,000 in today’s money.
6
People thought that Titanic was unsinkable, but that was not true. Titanic only sailed for three days. It hit an iceberg one night. It was April 14, 1912. Then, Titanic started to fill with water.
7
Titanic did not have enough life boats. Captain Smith said for the kids and the mothers to get in the lifeboats first.
8
Titanic was hidden in the ocean for many years. No one found it until 1985. Today, most of Titanic still rests on the ocean floor. Some parts can be seen in museums. I think people should try to learn more about Titanic and tell this interesting story to their kids.
