4 Multiplying and Dividing To multiply, divide, or find powers of numbers in scientific notation, use the properties of exponents.

5 Use the properties of exponents. Example 1: Evaluate Multiply these together. Use the rules of exponents. Not scientific. We will move it to the left once, so we ADD one.
