Habitat They live in west Texas and Mexico.
They live in forested mountains and canyons. They prefer old growth forests.

Diet The owls will eat wood rats, mice, voles, rabbits, gophers, bats, birds, reptiles, and arthropods (spiders). It is a carnivore.
