2 Fan horsepower accounts for approximately 40% of the total energy costs of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems. Historically, high efficiency air filtration has been achieved by using a highly restrictive filter media, which both increased the cost of filtration as well as the energy required to push the air through the restrictive media. Dynamic technology eliminates the need for highly restrictive media by using an actively-polarized technology to create binding sites for sub-micron particles, reducing the bhp required and saving energy. Cost-savings are typically realized when replacing 85-95% efficient filters.

Polarized particles attract each other and charged particles to form clusters that are more easily captured. How Dynamic Works

6 In addition to energy savings… Increased efficiency in sub-micron particle removal >98% at 0.5 micron, single pass Independently tested – ASHRAE 52.2 Superior dust-loading 7-10X dust loading capacity of a cartridge filter Extends maintenance intervals Reduces landfill content Can reduce volatile organic compounds (odors) in ambient air streams, often eliminating costly carbon which also adds to energy costs

7 Projected Cost Costs vary with project size but a typical range would be $0.50 -0.80 per cfm – depending on the system and equipment Typical payback between 1.5 – 4 years, depending on building use and utility rates Energy costs to operate the 24 volt polarized system are extremely low – typically systems operate on a single 15 amp non-dedicated circuit or less. Media replacement costs are less than the passive high efficiency filters the polarized media replaces
