2009 SAP BusinessObjects User Conference 3 Meeting Room Logistics Please note, each speaker is expected to bring his or her own notebook PC for the presentation. Computers will not be provided in session rooms. Each session room will be set with the following equipment**: Screen LCD Projector Package Shure wireless Lavaliere Microphone Computer Audio Cable/Director Box Audio Mixer JBL Powered Speaker Wired Internet **As of 9/1/2009. 2009 SAP BusinessObjects User Conference 4 Speaker Ready Room – Available for your Use All speakers must check in at this location at least 60 minutes prior to your presentation. Equipment will be available for you to practice, review, and print your presentation. The Speaker Ready Room is located in the Jade Room. Below are the operating hours: Sunday, October 18, 2009 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2009 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2009 7:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

2009 SAP BusinessObjects User Conference 5 On-site Speaker Tips In the event of an emergency – please contact the Speaker Ready Room. No last minute crisis Locate your meeting room in advance Get comfortable - familiarize yourself with the room logistics, i.e., setup, size, etc. Arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of your presentation start time Kindly ask the previous session speaker to give you the stage (please follow this guideline at the end of your presentation, too - continue discussions outside of the meeting room) Introduce yourself to the room facilitator Discuss if you want to use cue cards for time reminders (highly recommended) A GBN Program Committee volunteer should be on-site to help introduce your presentation Connect and test all a/v needs Do not hesitate to ask for immediate a/v support via your room facilitator

2009 SAP BusinessObjects User Conference 6 Building your Agenda At a minimum, your presentation should match your abstract Presentations are reviewed by your fellow GBN Program Committee volunteers prior to the conference (new!) Advanced feedback is essential for high quality presentations that achieve high scores from attendees (excellent for your personal performance ratings, too) Attendees are interested in brief demonstrations - offline or screen shots are the recommendation for 5-10 minutes Keeps your audience interested and engaged (no death by PPT) Plan for a 45 minute presentation with 15 minutes of Q&A Basic rule is 3 minutes per slide Set yourself 10 minute goals so you don’t end up with 10 slides to cover in three minutes

2009 SAP BusinessObjects User Conference 9 Tips for Building the Agenda Every speaker likes a “sold-out” audience Your advance abstract/presentation content is critical to draw interest to attend your session Abstracts and Learning Objectives are printed in the program. Use the Online Change Form if you need to change a speaker, etc. Attendees find interest/value in call outs throughout the presentation for: Return on Investment Tips/Tricks Gotcha Best Practices Tell your “playbook” story – business process old/new (see next slide example)

2009 SAP BusinessObjects User Conference 11 PowerPoint Presentation Tips Spell Check Enter Session code on the template Include a “how to contact” if appropriate Use text sparingly – keep points to a short, concise, outline form Wording should be clear and legible Slide titles – keep to one or two lines Visually appealing – pictures and visual effects are appealing Colors – no more than 4 colors (avoid red) Alignment Consistent – presentation should follow an organized, logical manner Ask another set of eyes to review your final PPT Deadline for presentation upload was September 7 th, 2009

Always repeat any audience questions. Those in the back probably did not hear it. Speak slowly and enunciate carefully. Be positive, be enthusiastic, relax, and have fun Be a master of influence Everyone has stage fright
