Nurture group at Lambeth Academy The Nurture Group is a unique class within Lambeth Academy which caters for students with a range of SEND and supports them to access learning in a mainstream school with a differentiated curriculum.

Our curriculum- developing academic skills Students in the Nurture Group have extra English and Maths lessons. This means they do not have separate MFL, Humanities and ICT classes. The Nurture Curriculum follows the general English and Maths Curricula for Year 7. The English Schemes of work will focus on reading for understanding, creative writing, punctuation skills, learning new vocabulary, and being able to talk about a text and express opinions and quote information from it. In Maths, the curriculum focuses on number sense and skills, basic operations, simple problem solving skills and revising basic numeracy concepts. We incorporate basic word processing skills and internet skills into the English Curriculum.
